The RVISD Curriculum Department provides instructional resources, leadership, and training to support teachers as they develop champions in their classrooms and teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
Rio Vista ISD participates in the Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC) and uses the TEKS Resource System as our curriculum foundation. TCMPC provides an online curriculum that is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The TEKS Resource System is designed using current research-based practices to provide a foundation of aligned curriculum for the core content areas in grades K-12. Parents can learn more about TEKS Resource System by using the Public Access button below.
Current Updates: RVISD has designed programs to meet the current HB4545 legislation and the updated HB1416 requirements for accelerated instruction. These programs provide support for individuals who did not meet the passing standard for STAAR/EOC.
